Reckon Accounts Hosted crashes when printing Statements

Question

Why does Reckon Accounts Hosted crash when I print statements? 

I get the error: “A drawing error has occurred”.

Answer

Remove dashed and dotted lines from the Statement Template

 

The Issue

You are likely to experience this problem if your Statement Template utilises dashed or dotted borders. These line types cannot be processed by the Hosted printing system

 

Workaround

  1. Open your Statements Template
    1. Customers > Create Statements
    2. Select your Statement Template and click Customise
    3. Click on Layout Designer
  2. Identify fields with dotted or dashed borders
  3. Left-click the field > right-click the border > Properties > Border tab
  4. In the Pattern Section, select the Normal option.
  5. Click OK > OK > OK to close all dialog boxes.
You should now be able to print without errors.
