How to view the QBwin.log file

Question

Where do I find the QBWin.log file and how do I view it?

Answer

The simplest way of opening the QBWin.log file is, with Reckon Accounts open.

1. Press the [CTRL] + [1] keys of your keyboard.
2. Then, press the [CTRL] + [2] keys.
3. Next, click on the Open File tab.
4. On the left hand side below 'Select a file to open', left-click on QBWIN.LOG to select it.
5. Finally, click on the Open File button to open the log file.
   

   

If you need to send this file to a Technical Support Representative:

1. Save the file to your desktop by clicking File then Save and select the location as Desktop.
2. Close the file.
3. Create a new message in your Email program.
4. Attach the QBWin.log file.
5. Send the email to the technical support team.
