Why my balance in Account Balance report has different figure to the balance in the Register report?

Question

When I looking at the account balance in the register report, I have  different figure to the one in the Account balance report. Why?

Answer

Compare balance figures at the Account balance report with the Register balance report for the same dates till you find the period that is causing those two figures to be different. There should be one or more transactions with a remainder amount assigned to a deleted or inactive category, click on the adjust icon or delete this transaction and re-enter, this will make the balance figures in Account balance report and Register report identical.
