Custom payslip does not show the correct data when two Additions with the same name and rate are use

Question

When I use an Additional item twice for the one employee in a pay run, the Custom payslip although showing the correct amount, will show as the quantity only the second Additional entry.  Other payslip styles show all information correctly.  Why?

Answer

This is a problem that affects Additional items using “Calculate this item based on quantity”.

Workaround 1:  combine the two Additional items entries into one entry on the pay.

Workaround 2:  use another payslip style.
