Terminal Screen is blank in Retail POS 2016

Question

Why is my Terminal Screen blank after upgrading to Reckon Retail POS 2016?

Answer

Tick the option for Touch Keyboard in the Options menu.

 

The Issue

You will experience this problem if a non-critical issue was encountered during the installation of the Terminal. 

Adjusting an option will restore the Terminal Screen.

 

Workaround

  1. On the Terminal Screen, click on Tools > Options > Keyboard

  2. In the touch Keyboard section, tick the box to Show Touch Keyboard and click OK.

Your Terminal screen will appear.
