Cannot merge Categories with sub-categories in Quicken

Question

How can I merge Categories with sub-accounts?

Answer

You can only merge ‘like’ categories.  If you have a category with sub-categories, then your destination category must have sub-categories.

You must then merge source sub-category to the destination sub-category.
