There was a problem installing Microsoft .NET Framework for Windows Server 2016 and below

About

Part of the Reckon Accounts 2024 is the fix for the Installation Error: 1920 when .NET Framework 3.5 is not enabled.

However, Window Server 2012 had a known issue in enabling and installing the .NET Framework. The same issue exists with the Windows Server 2016.

An updated dialogue will appear when it fails to install automatically. This dialogue replaces the previous Error 11:


Workaround

All Server related installations requires to be performed by your IT Administrators.

Manually install and enable .Net Framework 3.5 

  1. Go to Server Manager and click on Manage.
  2. Select Add Roles and Features and follow the wizard prompts.
  3. In Features, select .Net Framework 3.5 to try to install again.
