Fonts on printed reports do not match screen display?

Legacy KB ID: 594

Question

Why isn't QuickBooks printing the fonts I selected on my reports?

Your printer or printer driver does not support TrueType fonts. TrueType fonts allow your printed output to closely match your screen display.

Answer

To enable TrueType fonts:

  • Check the printer driver your printer is using. (Refer to Microsoft® Windows® Help for more information about printer drivers.) If you select the generic text-only printer driver, your printer will not print TrueType fonts.
  • When selecting fonts for reports, only choose font names preceded by the TrueType symbol TT. If you choose non-TrueType fonts, your printed report may look different than the report displayed on your screen.
