Reckon Accounts Personal: Server Error in Application when attempting to activate

Question

I get the error: Server Error in '/' Application when attempting to activate Reckon Accounts Personal or Reckon Home & Business. Why does this message appear?

Answer

The activation module inside Reckon Accounts Personal Range has a direct online connection to the Reckon activation server by clicking the Go Online Now button on the Reckon Accounts Activation Update screen.  

This service utilizes the reckon.com.au URL. If this is unreachable (either via outage or blocked by your work domain), it will generate this error.

Solution

Activate your product via the Reckon Customer Service on 1800 732 566.

When directed, click on the View button to see the product Key to give to the Customer Service Representative, who will give you the activation key code for manual activation.
