Senor scanner beeps but no input to Notepad detected

Question

I have configured the Senor Scanner according to the Installation and Upgrade Guide, but when I check its operation it beeps to signal a successful scan but nothing appears in Notepad. 

 

Answer

Out of the box the Senor Scanner is in ‘factory default mode’ and must be switched to ‘USB default mode’.

 

Detailed Instructions

Scan the following barcodes in their existing order:

 Now scan the Barcode setup sequence in the Installation and Upgrade Guide once more. 

If some of the barcodes have a ‘woolly’ appearance, use the set of barcodes in the Retail POS 2012/13 Installation and Upgrade Guide on the Quicken website at https://library.reckon.com.au/library/pdf/2012-13_RetailPOS_IIFI.pdf, or use the set in the 2011/12 edition of the Installation and Upgrade Guide.
