Reckon Accounts Desktop: Finding cleared transactions that have been changed or deleted

Question

I need to have a way to find out which transactions have been edited since my last reconciliation because my opening balance is different to my bank statement opening balance.

Answer

It is not a requirement of this report that entries are cleared. It only filters for a period that should include mostly cleared entries. The Audit Trail may be more helpful in this regard.

Run a Transaction List by Date, or check your Audit Trail.

To create one, you can do the following:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Go to Accountant, then select Transaction List by Date.
  3. Go to Modify Report, and change the Date Range to include the cleared transaction's date.

You should be able to find the transaction there.

To run an Audit Trail, you can do the following:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Go to Accountant, then select Audit Trail.

You will need to go through the Audit Trail if the transaction has been deleted.
