Question

When I print in my Reckon Personal Plus or Home & Business software, I receive a "The PDF driver cannot be found" and "make sure you are in the admin mode and run restore PDF driver.bat from the C:\Program Files\Quicken\PDFDrv" error message.

Answer

To resolve this, do the following:

  1. Exit all applications running on your PC.
  2. Click Start
  3. Type framedyn.dll in the Windows search bar then press enter.
  4. It should find a copy of the file in C:\Windows\System32\wbem. Also note that more than one might be found - that is OK.
  5. Right click the framedyn.dll found in folder C:\Windows\System32\wbem, and choose "Copy."
  6. Click on Start and point to RUN.
  7. In the Open line, type in C:\Windows\System32, and click OK.
  8. In the window that opened, click the Edit menu and select Paste.
  9. Close all Windows.
  10. Run the restorePDFDriver.bat file in C:\Program Files\Quicken\PDFDrv again.
