Locating the Taxable Payments Annual Report electronic file

Question

I have created the Taxable Payments Annual Report electronic file, but where did Reckon Accounts Business 20**(formerly QuickBooks) save it?

Answer

The default directory for the Taxable Payments Annual Report is:

Windows 8, 7 & Vista

C:\Program Data\Intuit\ReckonAccounts 20**\<your edition> 20**\<your company file>\Export Files\Tax Payment Reports

By default, Windows makes the Program Data folder a hidden folder.  To view your Program Data folder: 

1.    In Windows Explorer C drive, click on Organize in the top left.

2.    Click on Folders and Search Options > View tab.

3.    In Advanced Settings, under Hidden files and folders, click on the radio button next to Show hidden files, folders, or drives.

4.    Click OK to complete.

Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\ReckonAccounts 20**\ <your edition> 20**\<your company file>\Export Files\Tax Payment Reports

1.    In Windows Explorer > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab.
