Reckon Accounts Desktop: Deposit of Payments is Out Of Balance

Question

Why do I recieve "Transaction out of balance" when I'm doing a deposit?

Answer

Go into Make Deposits, It brings up the ‘Payments to Deposit’ Window

Select a number of Payments to Deposit and click OK.

It now goes into the ‘Make Deposits’ Window.

Click on the Payments Icon at the top and un-tick one or more of the selected Payments, click OK.

It goes back to the ‘Make Deposits’ window and when you try to save the transaction it says it is out of balance.

To save the transaction you need to either:

  1. Re-select the payments that were unticked.
  2. Click on Clear and then click on the Payments icon to go through and re-select the payments.
