Reckon API Application Form

Overview

Before you can start integrating with Reckon API Product, you will need to submit your application form by clicking here.

We collect information about your app, oAuth2.0 required information (redirectURI) and more when you submit

Before you can start integrating with Reckon API Product, you will need to submit your application form by your application form. These details are then used to provide you with access to the requested Reckon API Product.


New Reckon Developer Partner account

If you have never integrated with any of the Reckon API Products, you will be choosing No for Are you an existing Reckon Developer Partner question.

You will then be asked series of questions about you, your app and the Reckon API Product you want to integrate with. These information will be used to create a new account to provide you with your account details, Product Installation keys (if applicable) and oAuth2.0 details.


Your details

We need the below information to create an account so that you can start accessing the Reckon API Product.

  1. First Name
    Your first name.
  2. Last Name
    Your last name.
  3. Business Legal name
    The legal name of the Business.
  4. Business Trading name
    The trading name of the Business.
  5. Business address
    The address of the Business.
  6. Email address
    The email address of the Developer/contact from the Business.
    Please note that due to legal reasons, we do not accept Gmail, Outlook.com and other non-business related email address. If you are a contactor/freelancer who is developing an integration for a Business, we require an email from an employee of that company using their domain email address confirming this.
  7. Website
    The website of the Business.
  8. Overview of the Product
    Give a brief summary of your product.
  9. Who is the app for?
    Choose the industry/service/customer type.
  10. What type of data do you wish to integrate/share with Reckon products?
    For example: Invoices, Timesheets etc.
  11. Pre-existing data connections your software already has
    Does your app already integrate with another provider? If so, please let us know.
  12. What is your app's deployment model?
    Choose if your app is Cloud/Hybrid/Desktop.


Existing Reckon Developer Partner account

If you are an existing Reckon Developer Partner who want to integrate with another Reckon API Product, you will need to submit the application form again and choose the appropriate Reckon API Product.

When filling up the form, please ensure you choose Yes for Are you an existing Reckon Developer Partner question. This will avoid any duplication and you will be required to answer fewer questions.


Locating Customer ID or Username

If you are an existing Reckon Developer Partner, you will be asked about your Reckon Customer ID or Username.

Reckon Customer ID

When you apply to become Reckon Developer Partner for a Reckon API product and your application form is successful, you will receive an email from us that contains your Customer ID.

Customer ID applies to the following Reckon API products:

  1. Reckon Accounts Desktop
  2. Reckon Accounts Hosted

  • Reckon Customer ID: #######
  • PIN: ######
  • You'll need this for your dealings with Reckon, and to activate your desktop software (If applicable).
  • You'll also notice the Customer ID forms the basis of your online login.


Reckon Username

We do not create an account for you when you successfully become our Reckon Developer Partner for Reckon One. When you register an account for Reckon Customer Portal to access Reckon One, you provide your email address, which is your Reckon Username.

The email address you use to login to Reckon Developer Portal.


Proposed integrations

You can only select one Reckon API product per application form. If your app will integrate with multiple Reckon API Products, you will need to submit the application multiple times. This helps us to understand the app's intention, workflow and suitability for our add-on marketplace.

Reckon One

  1. Do you have an existing Reckon One account?
    As a Reckon Developer Partner, you will need to use an existing or create a new Reckon Portal account to access Reckon One API. You will be using the Reckon One Demo book (free book) to learn and test your integration.
  2. What's the name of your Book?
    If you already have an existing book, we can mark it as free Dev book for you to test and develop your integration.
  3. Call back URL (aka Redirect URI)
    To be able to provide you with the oAuth2.0 tokens, you will need to provide us with your redirectURI where we can send your tokens once you've passed your ClientID and Secret. Learn more about how Authentication works from here.


Reckon Accounts Hosted

  1. Do you have an existing Accounts Hosted account?
    To develop and test your integration, you will need to have a Developer account (free) of Accounts Hosted. If you do not have one, choose No to this question and we will create an account for you.
  2. What's your User ID or username?
    If you already have an existing account, we can mark it as free Dev account for you to test and develop your integration.
  3. Call back URL (aka Redirect URI)
    To be able to provide you with the oAuth2.0 tokens, you will need to provide us with your redirectURI where we can send your tokens once you've passed your ClientID and Secret. Learn more about how Authentication works from here.


Reckon Accounts Desktop

We will provide you with the required documentation and your Installation Key Code via email once your application is approved.
