BankData Signup screen hangs when signing up for a Credit Card account

Question

Why does the BankData screen hang when I am adding a Credit Card account? 


I enter my information and a get a message that: “Things are taking a bit longer than expected.  Please wait while we try again.”  It does not proceed from there.

Try again in another hour.

 

The Issue

Credit Card applications for BankData are handled by a 3rd party provider – Yodlee Inc.  When you enter your bank and credit card details, this information is passed to Yodlee.  Yodlee servers then access the bank servers and test your credentials.

Sometimes the Yodlee servers may experience a problem accessing bank servers.  After accepting your details nothing happens.

At times you may get a timeout error or a 522 error.

 

Workaround

Try again later when the issue preventing Yodlee accessing your bank has cleared.
