If you are not confident with changes to your Registry you should refer to your IT professional for further guidance.
Disable the Acer shell extension program. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Go to https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/acercomputerfileopensavedialogcrash for information about this fix;
2. Click here to download the HKLM_BLock_DSPProtectDLL.zip file.
3. Open the zip file and extract HKLM_BLock_DSPProtectDLL.reg to your desktop.
4. Double-click the HKLM_BLock_DSPProtectDLL.reg file. When asked if you want to modify the registry, answer yes.
5. Restart your computer, then try installing or opening Quicken.
Note: You can delete both the zip and reg files when you are finished.
