Reckon Accounts Personal: Memorised payee with split transactions does not automatically correct figures

Legacy KB ID: 5430

Question

Why doesn’t my memorised payee transaction adjust for the new amounts?

Answer

Manually enter amount in split lines and press Adjust button.

The Issue

If you have a memorised payee which contains 1 line split transaction with GST and you use the same memorised payee again but change amount, the split line will show the total and the remainder.

Reckon Accounts Personal does not automatically update the total split.

When there are 2 or more lines in the memorised payee, a similar result will happen.

Workaround

Manually enter amount in split lines and press Adjust button.

  1. Select the memorised payee
  2. Change the amount for this transaction in the Amount column and click on Split tab;
  3. Check the split lines and make the necessary adjustments (including “Amounts include tax” if applicable);
  4. Click on the Adjust button;
  5. Check that the total is the new total.
  6. Save the transaction.
