Area Code field is blank in Reckon GovConnect

Question

How can I get my area code to appear on Reckon GovConnect report submissions?  There does not appear to be any area code fields in Reckon Accounts.

Answer

Reckon Accounts does not have a separate field for the area code

The ATO will accept a report from GovConnect with the area code blank if the telephone number includes the area code.

Workaround

Include your area code with your telephone number in phone fields on the Company Information screen.
