What does a data file downgrade mean?

The data file downgrade service transforms a data file between the following data file formats:

A Reckon Accounts Premier data file can be opened in the Reckon Accounts Plus software.

A Reckon Accounts Plus data file can be opened in the Reckon Accounts Accounting software.

The software YEAR version and RELEASE remains the same.

Example:

  • Reckon Accounts Enterprise 2021 release R1 to Reckon Accounts Premier 2021 release R1
  • Reckon Accounts Hosted 2020 release R2 to Reckon Accounts Premier 2020 release R2
  • Reckon Accounts Plus 2020 release R2 to Reckon Accounts Accounting 2020 release R2

  • The data file downgrade process:
  • does not turn a data file format from year version 2021 into an older year version 2020
  • does not turn a data file format release from a "release R2" to a "release R1"

The data file downgrade service fee relates to the data file only and is a separate fee to the purchase of the Reckon Accounts software.
