How can I get the HP FK224AA / A799 USB receipt printer, included in HP POS hardware system to work with Retail Point of Sale?
Answer
The HP FK224AA / A799 USB receipt printer out of the HP POS Hardware pack does not have Serial Port Emulation that is required by Retail Point of Sale.
Hewlett Packard has recently released a firmware upgrade that includes Serial Port Emulation.

To download the HP FK224AA / A799 firmware upgrade, go to https://library.reckon.com.au/library/exe/SP50214.exe
Instructions for installing the upgrade are contained in the upgrade file.
