Reckon Desktop POS: Messaging system not working

Question

I’m getting an error message, ‘POS Messaging system not working’ and unable to start POS terminal. How can I fix it?

This issue occurs on POS Terminal. It is not allowing POS Terminal to start.

Solution / Workaround:

  1. Restart POS Terminal PC and try again.
    1. If the problem persists, please continue.
  2. Go to the local installation directory for the POS terminal.
  3. Locate the below 3 files and double click on it to run:
    1. rebootCommonFiles.bat
    2. rebootSystem.bat
    3. rebootTerm.bat
  4. Try opening the terminal again.
