End of Day file from Recycle Bin restored to another directory

Question

I have restored an End of Day file from the Recycle Bin but when I go to my POS 2011/12 database directory it is not there.  Where is it?

Answer

POS 2011/12 no longer restores to the directory it came from.  It is restored to the installation directory, which by default is C:\Reckon\Retail Point of Sale Professional 2011-12 Administrator\.

Workaround

1.    Restore the End of Day file from the Recycle Bin in the normal fashion

2.    In Windows Explorer go to C:\Reckon\Retail Point of Sale Professional 2011-12 Administrator\;

3.    Right-click the End Of Day file and select Cut;

4.    Go to your POS Database directory, right-click the white space and select Paste.

You are now ready to post the End of Day file to Quickbooks.
