All super contributions do not appear in the first upload to SuperLink

Question

I am making my first upload to Superlink and I notice that all the contributions for the period are not listed.  Why?

Answer

QuickBooks will consign a payroll super contribution to SuperLink only after the Superlink feature has been turned on.  The super contributions from pays processed in this reporting period before Superlink was turned on will not be included. 

The super items in processed pays must be refreshed to register those contributions to SuperLink

 

Detailed Instructions

1.    Go to the Employee Centre and open the first pay of this super reporting period (first pay of the month or quarter) for the first employee;

2.    In the Review Paycheque screen, click on Unlock Net Pay;

3.    Highlight the first super payroll item and delete it;

4.    Re-enter that super payroll item;

5.    Repeat Steps 3 & 4 for all super payroll items in this pay;

6.    Click on OK and then Save & Close;

7.    Repeat these steps for all pays for this employee for this super reporting period;

8.    Repeat these steps for all employees;

9.    Create your SuperLink Export File and upload to the SuperLink website.

 

Additional Notes

SuperLink is designed to include pays to the end of last month.  Pays processed this month before the SuperLink Export File was prepared will not be included in this Superlink upload.
