Why does my leave 'Hours available as of' date show the date I started my datafile?

Question

When I edit my employees, and select the payroll info tab, and click on the Sick/Holiday button, my 'Hours available as of' dates for Sick, Holiday, and Other show the starting date of the datafile. Why does it do this?

Answer

This will occur if a pay run has not been processed as yet in Reckon Accounts.

Reckon Accounts does not know what date the leave was last accrued up to for each employee, so by default, it will display the starting date of the file.

As soon as a pay run is processed, the dates will be updated to the last payment date.
