Slow Layby functionality in POS Online

Question

Why does processing a Layby take a long time in POS Online?

Answer

The speed of Layby functionality is affected by the number of outstanding Laybys and the number of Layby Customers.

You can improve speeds by deleting Layby customers who have not been active over a particular time period – for instance, over the past 6 months. 

 

Workaround

Warning: these steps will permanently delete layby customers without a layby in the last 6 months.

  1. In POS Administrator, click on Lists > Layby Customers;
  2. Click on Purge;
  3. Enter a date for Delete all inactive Layby Customers with a Last Layby Purchase date prior to;
  4. Tick the box also delete customers who have never purchased by layby;
  5. Click OK.
