How to log off a POS Hosted session

Question

How must I log off a POS Hosted session so that I do not encounter errors such as “You are already logged on”?

Answer

When you log onto POS Hosted you are using a couple of services:

  • Citrix to connect your computer to the POS Hosted servers.
  • POS Hosted

When you close a POS Hosted session your Citrix connection is still running.  If you try to log on again, as Citrix is still running, it issues an error that you are already logged on. 

 

Solution

After closing your POS Hosted session, go to the POS Hosted landing page and click Log Off

You will get a message suggesting that for security reasons you close your browser.  You should close this browser tab, but closing the whole browser is not necessary.

 

How did we do?

An error has occurred in ReceiptPrinter.cls : Initialise. This may be due to another Windows device using the same port.
