Configuring Outlook365 to use Live Mail to send emails from Reckon Accounts Business.

Question

How can I configure my Live Mail to allow Reckon Accounts business to send emails through my Live Mail client?

Answer


  1. Login to Live/ Hotmail account on Windows Live
  2. Go to Settings for mailbox
  3. Enable POP3 access
  4. Copy and paste information into Reckon Send Forms mail setup box: Edit > Preferences > Send Forms > My Preferences > Custom Email Setting:
    1. the server address - eg: smtp-mail.outlook.com – into the Server Name field;
    2. the Port number - eg: 587 – into the Port field.
  5. Ensure that other settings are corrected set:
    1. Email Provider is set to Other;
    2. Email ID has your email address;
  6. Click OK to save and close.
