Error (-12,0) when opening a company file on a Terminal Server

Question

Why can’t I open my company file?  I get an error (-12,0).

Answer

Make the Terminal Server user a member of the Administrator’s Group

The Issue

This problem in a Terminal Server environment will occur when the user opening the company file does not have sufficient rights to access the location of the company file. 

Solution

Please see your Network Administrator to give the user Administrator rights, either directly or add to the Administrators Group.
