leave accrual wrong if you miss a pay date then pay for more than one pay.

Legacy KB ID: 2426

Question

Employee set up to accrue leave per pay. If you miss a payrun or more, then do a pay run inclusive of other paydates for more than one pay period, the leave accrual will be for X pay periods wher X=number of pays missed times number of pay periods in the next pay. eg. employee is weekly. You miss 2 pay runs and so do a pay run for 3 weeks using todays date. That pay run is to cover 4 pays. The employee will accrue 12 pays worth of leave.

Answer

QuickPayroll requires the entry of BackPays if Payruns have been missed. Changing the amount of Periods by increasing the number of Pays is only suitable for Future Pays not Pays in the Past that have not been processed.
