Changed amounts on a memorized payee transaction not automatically adjusted

Question

Why, when I change the amounts on a memorized payee transaction, Quicken does not automatically adjust it?

Answer

Quicken no longer automatically updates the changed amount on a memorized payee transaction.  

 

Workaround

After you have entered the new amount in the Register:

1.    Click either Enter or Split to open the Split Transaction window;

2.    Change the old amount to the new amount;

3.    Click Enter.  Quicken will accept the new amount.
