Unable to Preview ABA History files, I get the error " There is no ABA file History for (Your bank)"

Question

Why when I select ABA file History a message appears saying "There is no ABA file History for (Your bank)"

Answer

This is because of the preference settings which needs to be enabled. To enable the feature, please follow the steps -

  1. Open Reckon Accounts
  2. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Company Preferences
  3. Place a tick in the option 'Always show years as 4 Digits'

Reckon Accounts requires the option ticked to produce ABA file history. Even if you have been able to view previous ABA file histories as soon as the option is unticked no new ABA files created will appear in the ABA file History until this option has been re-enabled.
