Alert shows only once in ReckonAccounts

Legacy KB ID: 4779

Question

I have set ReckonAccounts to issue an alert for my Term Deposit as a popup and have selected Keep the alert in the list for a week.  Why does it show only once?

Answer

ReckonAccounts Alert feature is designed to act on the maturity or due date of the transaction selected.  It will issue a popup signal only once.  It will remain in the Alerts List.

If you open ReckonAccounts more than once on the day, the popup will be seen only on the first opening.

To see the popup again for a Term Deposit

1.    Tools > Set Up Alerts

2.    Click on the Plus box alongside Investing;

3.    Highlight Maturity date and untick the box;

4.    Highlight your Term Deposit and change the Maturity date to one day earlier;

5.    Click OK and close ReckonAccounts;

6.    Launch ReckonAccounts and go to the Alerts Setup screen;

7.    Change the date of the Maturity to today (or another date in the future);

8.    Tick the Investing>Maturity Date box and click OK;

9.    When you open ReckonAccounts again the popup Alert will show.
