Question

Why does Reckon Accounts always crash when I open the Audit Trail Report?

Answer

You may experience this issue when your report is trying to load too much data.  This can easily happen as the Audit trail logs all transactions and changes to those transactions if the date range of the report (the last date range setting) is too broad. 

 

Workaround

View a smaller data range than the current setting:

1.    Edit > Preferences > Reports & Graphs > Mr Preferences

2.    Tick box Prompt me to modify report options before opening a report > OK;

3.    Multi-user installations should ask all users with access to the Audit Report to change their preferences.
