Combined Tax Types have a zero rate after upgrading?

Question

Why after upgrading my company file to QuickBooks 20** (Reckon Accounts 20**), does my combined tax types have a zero rate?

Answer

After upgrading, any Combined Tax type (a tax code which consists of two or more other tax codes) will need to be reimported.

To rectify this, you need to update your Tax Code List. To do this simply reimport the QuickBooks' standard list of tax codes. 

1) Select File > Utilities

2) Select Import > Import IIF File

3) Select the taxoz.iif file and press Open. You will receive a message stating "Your data has been imported". Click OK

4) Now recheck your combined taxcode list.
