Please contact your AUSkey Administrator validation error for Taxable Payments Annual Report

Question

I have followed all instructions to create the Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) in Accounts Business 2013, so why does my export file fail the ATO validation?  I get the error:

Please contact your AUSkey Administrator. This type of file is not able to be sent by the AUSkey holder.

Answer

The error message indicates that the person uploading this file does not have the permissions in his AUSkey to upload this file for this business.

This will usually happen when an Accountant is uploading a client’s TPAR but the client has not given the Accountant’s AUSkey the permission to do so.

Please note that it is only an Accountant or the Business owner that can upload the TPAR to the ATO.  A Bookkeeper who is also a Tax Agent cannot upload the TPAR.

Solution

The owner of the business file must authorize the Accountant’s AUSkey to upload his TPAR.
