Memo in Record an Income Event does not transfer to the Bank Account in Quicken 2012

Legacy KB ID: 4360

Question

Why doesn’t the memo I enter in Record an Income Event for income received not appear in the Bank Account entry?

Answer

You may experience this issue when you enter amounts in the Unfranked, Franked, Imputation Credit and Trust Distribution fields.

Workaround

Copy the memo in the Record an Income Event form and paste to the memo field in the Bank Account entry.

To copy and Paste in Quicken:

1.    In the Transaction Register of your Brokerage account, highlight the income transaction;

2.    Click in the memo field then hold down the Ctrl key and press the letter C;

3.    Go to your Bank Account register and highlight the transfer entry;

4.    Click in the memo field and hold down the Ctrl key and press the letter V;

5.    The memo will appear.
