Tax Invoice from yourcompany Message (Plain Text) “Program is not responding” when sending batch ema

Question

Why can’t I send my batched tax invoice emails?  I keep getting the error:  “Tax Invoice from yourcompany. Message (Plain Text) “Program is not responding”.  I have no problems sending and receiving emails within Outlook.

 

Answer

Delete the Reckon Accounts Printer drivers.

 

The issue

The Reckon Accounts printer drivers have become corrupt.

 

Workaround

  1. Close Accounts Business
  2. Delete the printer drivers QBPRINT.QBP and wpr.ini at:
    1. C:\ProgramData>Intuit>Reckon Accounts 20xx
  3. On Devices and Printers, delete the Reckon PDF Printer
  4. Open Accounts Business and a company file
  5. Generate any report and Save As PDF:
    1. File > Save As PDF
    2. When prompted name it and save to your Desktop
  6. Your printer drivers and Reckon PDF printer have been recreated
  7. You can now send your batch emails.
