Allowance payroll item does not include Overtime hours

Question
Why doesn’t Reckon Accounts payroll include overtime hours when calculating per hour-based Allowances?
Answer
When Allowances are linked to hours, the number of hours to be used for the Allowance is sourced from the same register used to accrue leave. Overtime does not accrue leave so overtime hours are not added to this register and consequently not used in the calculation of hours-based Allowance.
If the Overtime rate is checked to “Include every hour worked” for leave accruals, then overtime hours will be added to the register and used in hours-based Allowance calculation.
Workaround
Manually override the incorrect Allowance Quantity with the correct amount, so the total equals total hours worked.
