Known Errors when importing from a spreadsheet

Account/Income Account: The specified Account does not exist in the list.

  1. Import the Account List first
  2. Create the relevant Account or Income Account

A posting account must be specified.

Expense/COGS Account: The specified Account does not exist in the list.

Asset Account: The specified Account does not exist in the list.

AS ABOVE

An asset account must be specified.

AS ABOVE

Price/Amount or %/Rate: Invalid Amount Format

Check the spreadsheet file and ensure to use the correct cell format

  • $ amount – use General category
  • % value – use Percentage category

Reorder Point: Invalid Amount Format

AS ABOVE

You can't use percentages when setting a price for inventory items or items whose expense will be passed on to the customer.

For Inventory type items, ensure to use $ amount and not % value.

Opening Balance: You can only set opening balances for new records.

A valid error if importing to an existing customer record.

Sales Rep: The specified Sales Rep does not exist in the list.

Create the relevant Sales Rep record before importing.

Price Level: The specified Price Level does not exist in the list.

Create the relevant Price Level record before importing.
