Assigning a Tag to a Scheduled Payment like a Loan Repayment

Question

Why can’t I assign my scheduled loan payment entered in the Loan Setup to a Tag?

Answer

In the Loan Setup there is no function to assign the repayment to a Tag.

Workaround

For new loans

On the Setup Loan Payment screen, in the Category for Interest box, select the account for the interest then add /tagname so that the Category for Interest reads categoryname/tagname.

For existing loans

Property & Debt > Loans > Choose Loan > Edit Payment

Add /tagname to the category in the Category for Interest box.
