Cannot delete or purge inactive laybys

Question

Why does POS Administrator no allow me to purge or delete a layby customer?.  It has a $0.00 balance and is inactive.

Answer

Before you can delete or purge a layby customer you must fulfil all the conditions set out in the Options > Layout field.  Also, a subsequent End of Day must be processed.

 

Before you can delete or purge:

  • All laybys for this customer have been paid.

·    Today’s date is beyond the Historical Layby Data time after the expiry of the last transaction’s layby terms. 

If the terms of the layby are 90days and the last Layby is created on the 1st of January, then the terms of the layby persist to the 31st of March, regardless of when it is fully paid.  If the Historical Layby Data is 180 days, then this layby customer can only be deleted after the 30th of September. 

·    A transaction and an End of Day has been done after this date. 

That is, for the example in the point above, before you can delete the customer after the 30th of September, you must have done a transaction and processed an End of Day.
