Technical Support Helper Error

Question

When I press CTRL + 1 and CTRL + 2 to access the Technical Support Helper an error message "Technical Support Helper has encountered a problem and needs to close" appears.

Answer

If you experience the error run through the below steps to stop it occurring: -

1) In Windows Explorer navigate to the Reckon Accounts Installation Folder.

2) Right Click on the TechHelp.exe File and select Properties.

3) Click on the Compatibility Tab.

4) Select the Run this program in Compatibility Mode For option, select Windows 98/ME and click OK.

In Reckon Accounts, you will now be able to access the Tech Helper via CTRL + 1 and CTRL + 2.
