I can't edit or enter a barcode to an already existing item.

Question

I can't edit or enter a barcode on an existing item, it lets me change or add it to the Edit Screen but when I click OK and go back in the Barcode hasn't changed.

Answer

To add or modify a barcode to an already-existing item, open the Edit Item Window, make the necessary changes to the barcode, and then, after adding or modifying the barcode, enter a full stop in the Description Field. The new or modified barcode will remain exactly as you intended it to be when you click OK and return to the item.
