Foreign Currency Bill resets to Paid and is zero

Question

Why does my bill from a foreign supplier in a foreign currency get saved as 0.00 and is stamped Paid

Answer

You will experience this issue if your last step in entering the bill is to change the Exchange Rate. 

When entering a Bill from a foreign supplier in a foreign currency, you must follow this sequence to ensure the form refreshes properly.

                                                                                                             

1.    Select the appropriate Accounts Payable and Supplier

2.    Change the Exchange Rate

3.    Select the item, enter the quantity and the cost price

4.    On the message to whether you want to save the cost price, select Yes

5.    Click Save & Close to complete the transaction.
