POS Terminal doesn’t allow a 100% discount

Question

Why won’t POS give a 100% discount?  It will give 99.99%.

Answer

Workaround

Where a 100% discount is required, apply a $ discount rather than a % Discount.

If a number of items are involved, process the 100% discount items first, add a subtotal and then apply the a $ discount for the sub-total amount.
