Question

Why do I get the error: The printer driver you are using does not support a full range of fonts for this printout; when attempting to print from QuickBooks?

Answer

This problem may be encountered by users with impact printers (dot matrix) and using continuous paper.

QuickBooks uses custom page sizes for printing. Printers using continuous paper usually don't support these custom page sizes. Instead, they require QuickBooks to send the text directly to the printer. This limits the printed form to only those fonts that are built into the printer.

Where a font style is used that is not supported by the printer the error will be generated. 

This is not a critical error.

 

Workaround

Click on the message’s OK button and the printer will use its default font style.
