Reckon Accounts Desktop: Estimates marked as Active when Estimates by Job Report exported to Excel

Legacy KB ID: 5179

Question

Why does the Export to Excel option insert a tick in the Estimate Active column for all estimates and not just the ones that are Active?

Answer

Export the report with Reports & Graph Preference of Default Reporting – Tax, set to Gross.

The Issue

The Estimate Active field of the Estimate by Job Report will only send to Excel if the Default Reporting Tax option in Reports & Graph Preferences is set to Gross.

The Accounting method can be set to either Cash or Accrual.

You will notice that the screen display will change to match the Excel display.

Workaround

To restore the correct Accounts Business screen display, click on the Refresh button.

To view your Excel in Net amounts you will need to adjust the Excel file:

Next to the Amount column (Column O when using the default display),

  1. Title the Column Net
  2. On line 3, the first amounts line, add the formula: =O3*100/110
  3. Copy the formula down to each line that requires a Net amount
  4. Save the file.
