User cannot access company file that has just been shared on Reckon Accounts Hosted

Question

I have just shared my company file on Reckon Accounts Hosted and have received a message that it has been successfully shared to my users.  Why can’t they see the file in their accounts? They get the error:

Windows cannot access \\QBI2FSAU04\019937-1234567-MyCompanyFile.

You do not have permission to access \\QBI2FSAU04\019937-1234567-MyCompanyFile.  Contact your network administrator to request access.

 

Answer

When you share a file on the Reckon Accounts Hosted Server, it will take up to 15 minutes for the changes to propagate throughout the network. 

This is normal Windows Server behavior.

Workaround

Try again in 15 minutes.
