No prompt to select Industry Edition when open Premier or Enterprise
Legacy KB ID: 5135
Question
When I launch Reckon Accounts for the first time in Premier or Enterprise, I expect to be prompted for an Industry Edition, but no prompt comes. It appears that Accounts Business configures to the General Edition. Why?
Answer
Uninstall and re-install Accounts Business
The Issue
Your Accounts Business did not install properly.
The Industry Edition prompt is controlled by a Registry entry. Where you have a previous version of Premier or Enterprise installed, this installation of 2014 did not adjust the registry, most likely because of some permission restriction on this PC.
When you open Accounts Business 2014 for the first time, the Registry is checked and the Industry details from the previous version is detected and so the Industry Edition prompt is not generated.
